THE Sandiganbayan has found probable cause against two children of alleged pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim-Napoles.
Jo Christine Lim Napoles and James Cristopher Napoles will be arraigned for graft charges on October 13. Joining them are their co-accused — Aileen Palama, Amparo Fernando, Jesus Castillo, Dorilyn Fabian Renato Ornopia, and Margarita Guadinez.
“After further considering the records of these cases and due deliberations, the Court finds the existence of probable cause against the said accused,” the resolution issued the Sandiganbayan’s Special Third Division said.
Prosecutors were ordered to present additional evidence against Fernando Ramirez, another co-accused.
There would be no need to issue arrest warrants to the accused as they had earlier posted bail except for Palama, Fernando, and Guadinez.
The resolution was penned by Presiding Justice and Third Division Chairperson Amparo Cabotaje-Tang and concurred in by Associate Justices Alex Quiroz, Samuel Martires, Jose Hernandez, and Ma. Cristina Cornejo.
Meanwhile, the regular Third Division denied for lack of merit the request of Senator Juan Ponce Enrile’s former aide and co-accused Jessica Lucila “Gigi” Reyes’ request to use a laptop with internet connection and printer while in jail.
