Sandigan slaps Genuino et al with HDO

FORMER chairman of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (Pagcor) Efraim Genuino and his co-accused is barred from flying out of the country.

In a confirmation from the Sandiganbayan Third Division, the anti-graft court has issued a hold departure order, furnished to the Bureau of Immigration, against Genuino and his six co-accused.

Also barred from leaving the country without the court’s express permission are Edward King, Rafael Francisco, Jose Benedicto, Rene Figueroa, Ester Hernandez, and Valente Custodio who are facing malversation and graft charges.

With the HDO out, the seven former Pagcor officials should first file a motion for a travel abroad and specify the details of their flight before the Sandiganbayan decides to let them fly abroad.
