The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) confirmed that 6-5 Filipino-American Jordan Clarkson, a guard of the National Basketball Association team Los Angeles Lakers, is a holder of a Philippine passport since he was 12 years old.
The SBP said that since Clarkson holds a Philippine passport even before he turned 16, this raises the possibility of him playing for the Philippines in international tilts.
Carson whose mother is a Filipina arrived on Monday to observe the practice of Gilas Pilipinas. He also signed up as a Smart Communication endorser recently.
Carson, 23, will see action with the Philippine national team in the annual Jones Cup tournament in Chinese Taipei on August 29 to September 6.
