THE Supreme Court (SC) has dismissed an electrician addicted to drugs. The High Court found Reynard Castor, Electrician II of the Maintenance Division liable for grave misconduct because of his use of methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu), a prohibited drug. “[T]he court orders his dismissal from the service with forfeiture of all benefits, except accrued leave credits, and with prejudice to reemployment in any branch or instrumentality of the government including government-owned or controlled corporations,” the ruling said. The verdict is immediately executory.
