Riding on the boom of the Philippines’ mining and infrastructure sectors, Swedish commercial vehicle manufacturer Scania will soon set up a dealership in the country to offer its heavy-duty trucks, buses and generators.
Scania is well known all over the world for providing quality service in more than 100 years.
In a statement, Scania Group said it has chosen BJ Mercantile Inc as the local sales and service dealer in the Philippines.
“Our partnership with BJ Mercantile Inc is a testament to Scania’s long-term commitment to the Philippines,” said James Armstrong, Scania managing director for Southeast Asia.
“We are here for the long-haul and our main objective is to offer total solutions that enhance customer profitability by means of high earning capacity and low operating cost, while promoting sustainability,” he added.
The Scania showroom is expected to be completed in the early part of 2015 at 1132 EDSA Balintawak, Quezon City.
