School burglarized by out of school youth in Cavite – police

POLICE have arrested one of the three youngsters that reportedly burglarized a public elementary school early dawn on Monday in a remote village in Naic town in Cavite province, police reported on Tuesday.

Reports at the Philippine National Police national operations center in Camp Crame identified the arrested burglar as Angelo Mendoza, 19, while his two companions who were able to elude arrest were identified only as “Kevin” and “Imak.”

Police said that the three burglarized the Bancaan Elementary School located at Barangay Sapa in Naic. Police added that the burglary was discovered after a worker of the said school noticed the presence of the three in a dimly lit portion of the school. The said worker then called the village patrol team for assistance.

Further inspection revealed that the padlocks of four classrooms in the school have been destroyed and several items from the said rooms were missing.

Village watchmen then chased the three and were able to arrest Mendoza, but his three companions were able to elude arrest, the reports said.

Recovered from Mendoza, who was turned over by the village watchmen to the police, were six electric fan motors; one electric fan and assorted laboratory equipment, the reports said. Anthony Vargas
