CENTRO Escolar University and De La Salle Zobel kicked off their bids for sixth straight basketball titles even as host Saint Jude Catholic School also scored during the opening weekend of the 47th WNCAA in different venues.
The five-time senior champion CEU walloped Philippine Women’s University, 66-45, last Saturday at the Makati Coliseum with last season’s Most Valuable Player Cristine Caranto topscoring with 16 points for the Patriots.
