More than P5 million cash incentives will be distributed to the athletes who won medals in the 2015 Southeast Asian Games in Singapore. Based on Republic Act 9064 known as the Athletes and Coaches Incentives Act, a gold medalist stands to receive P100,000 while the silver and bronze winners get P50,000 and P25,000, respectively. An additional of P100,000 cash reward will also be given to all record breakers. The awarding of incentives will be held on Saturday at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City. The Philippines only produced 29 gold medals for sixth place overall with Thailand topping the medal race with 95 golds followed by Singapore (84), Vietnam (73), Malaysia (62) and Indonesia (47).
