A 50-year-old seaman from Manila has bagged the almost P 21-million jackpot prize in the latest Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) MegaLotto 6/45 draw.
According to acting PCSO Chairman and General Manager Jose Ferdinand Rojas 2nd, the winner, who has four children, claimed his prize on Tuesday.
Rojas said the winner plans to leave his job at present and then put up his own business.
“I have been a seafarer for a long time and I’m quite tired, all I want now is to retire,” he quoted the seaman as saying after claiming the prize.
The winner said he has been betting in the lotto for 10 years.
He had picked the numbers 9, 10, 11, 31, 32 and 42 to bag the jackpot.
