Seventeen fabulous wives and mothers from all over the country will compete for the crown of Mrs. Philippines Globe 2016 tonight at SM Aura, Taguig City.
National pageant director Carla Cabrera-Quimpo said in a news conference that the pageant candidates were selected from hundreds of applicants not only for their good looks, but also for sense of compassion for their respective communities and personal advocacies.
“Mrs. Philippines Globe promotes women as symbols of inspiration through their achievements, charitable acts, and life stories. We want them to be movers of society by bringing out their strengths and encouraging them to be the best version of themselves,” Quimpo elaborated.
The finalists, whose ages range from 25 to 55 years old, come from different industries including banking, dermatology, aviation, human resource, online business, beauty, engineering, events, and business process outsourcing among others.
This year’s roster of candidates are comprised of Darlene Go Conde, Marjorie McMurchie, Brooke Irene Rose Cajita, Niezel Cayangan, Madonna Caguiao Naval, Maria Giselle Lyn Barrion, Maria Theresa Uhlmann, Annalyn Marie Gayatin, Michelle Duyungan Boyero, Rasha Demonteverde, Timikko Santos, Genieve Uy, Fritzie Lexdy Noche, Coleen Hazel Ramos, Nova Christine Dela Cruz, Geisha Marie Muring, and Angelica Marie Catangay.
Founded in 1996, Mrs. Globe is considered as one of the biggest international beauty pageants for married women and single mothers, honoring beauty and culture, goodwill, tourism awareness, and charitable acts through pageantry and competition.
