• Sefolosha urges punishment for NY officers who broke his leg

NEW YORK: Swiss NBA player Thabo Sefolosha has called for the police officers involved in the incident which left him with a broken leg to be punished following his acquittal earlier this month for resisting arrest. The 31-year-old Atlanta Hawks forward, who has already announced plans to sue the New York Police Department, told GQ magazine in an interview he wanted the officers responsible for his injury to face “consequences.” Sefolosha was acquitted in less than 45 minutes by a New York jury on October 9 after electing to fight charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct stemming from an incident outside a Manhattan nightclub in April.
