Senate summons Matt Ranillo, others linked to pork scam

FORMER actor Matt Ranillo and Justa Tantoco, the former chief of staff of former Sen. Loi Estrada, who were also implicated to the pork barrel scam, were summoned to appear before the blue ribbon committee.

It was Sen. Antonio Trillanes 4th who asked that the two be invited for the next hearing after their names were mentioned by Ruby Tuason and Benhur Luy.

Sen. Teofisto Guingona 3rd, chairman of the panel, approved Trillanes’ request.

Luy said Ranillo was one of those who signed vouchers allegedly to indicate that Sen. Jose “Jinggoy” Estrada has received his pork barrel commissions from Janet Lim-Napoles.

Luy claimed that he was ordered by Napoles to deliver P11 million to Pauline Labayen, Estrada’s secretary, in Dasmariñas Village. He said he gave the money to Labayen, who was then with Ranillo’s wife Linda.
