• Senators implicated in the PDAF scam should serve as an example to Napoles by appearing before the Blue Ribbon hearing

SENATE majority leader Alan Peter Cayetano on Tuesday challenged three of his colleagues implicated in the multi-billion peso pork barrel scam, to appear before the senate blue ribbon investigation on the scam and allow themselves to be questioned regarding the issue.

Cayetano, made the challenge upon learning that Senators Ramon Revilla Jr., Jose “Jinggoy” Estrada and Juan Ponce Enrile reportedly wants Janet Napoles, the alleged architect of the scam, to appear before the blue ribbon hearing.

The three are facing plunder compliant before the office of the Ombudsman along with the Napoles and other government officials.

The senate majority leader said that if the three senators want Napoles to appear before the committee hearing and testify, they should also do the same in order to settle the issue once and for all.

Senate blue ribbon committee chair Teofisto Guingona 3rd, earlier said that the committee does not see the need to ask the three senators to attend the proceedings.

Guingona is more interested in having Napoles testify before the committee because he believe that the controversial businesswoman could provide curtail information that would help the committee come up with measures  that could further safeguard public funds.

But lawyer Lorna Kapunan, in an earlier statement said that she would advise her client not to attend the committee hearing.

Revilla has recently expressed his willingness to support the move of the blue ribbon committee to subpoena Napoles, noting that it is high time for her to face the senate investigators.

“The truth will always come out. The truth will always prevail and it’s better for the truth to come out in order to put an end to the issue because marami nang nadadamay, and I’m of them,” he said.

Revilla is reportedly close to the Napoles, in fact the lawmaker’s son Bryan is a business partner of James Christopher Lim-Napoles son of the Janet.

The Times tried to get the side of Revilla and Estrada on Cayetano’s challenged but the lawmakers are not responding to the queries. JEFFERSON ANTIPORDA

    1. The tax payer has all the right. they are the only citizens that makes the country run and work, without them the government will have no income. And the non tax payers are liabilities.

So please, let the taxpayer alone vote during the election.

This can be done. if all tax payers stop paying taxes the government will be forced to change the constitution.

    2. Clearly, Senator A. Cayetano miss spoke with his response to a reporter, “that if the three senators want Napoles to appear before the committee hearing and testify, they should also do the same in order to settle the issue once and for all.” Cayetano was referring to Senators Estrada, Enrile and Revilla. The ongoing pork barrel issue must not be “settled once and for all” after the three Senators appear before the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee SBRC to answers question on PDAF scam. Senator A. Cayetano should also testify before the SBRC and be questioned whether he was involved in any way with the PDAF scam.

    3. What’s with “the” in this report? “…along with THE Napoles and other governmnet officails”; …”James Christopher Lim-Napoles son of THE Janet”

Also, …plunder “COMPLIANT”; …marami nang nadadamay, and I’m (???) of them…Is the editor too busy (playing candy crush) he didn’t bother to check and edit a report before posting?

      • The use of article “the” is to specifically identify the subject. But this (???) the editor should check that.

ALLAN PETER BOY KURIENTE CAWATANO APPREARING TO BE CEAN AND SAINT? Among all Senators if the is one who is clean I would partly give the credit to GRACE POE, she is the only Senator-elect who have never tasted the Peoples Money as the late FPJ is a Noble Man. However. I am giving her a partial applause for joining the Administration Candidates who used Government Funds for their campaign.

Cayetano, made the challenge upon learning that Senators Ramon Revilla Jr., Jose “Jinggoy” Estrada and Juan Ponce Enrile reportedly wants Janet Napoles, the alleged “ARCHITECT” of the scam, to appear before the blue ribbon hearing.

Why reporters/writers or those who are in Media always used the word “ARCHITECT” in their report? I am against corruption and i cursed all the government official who are corrupt… But please in fairness for us, as a Professional Architect, do not use our profession for you to sell your report… Thank you and may GOD bless us all…

      • Wow mr. Architect: sorry to say this but that word has a lot of meaning you could have advertised your profession but not single out that word just to address you as an architect. English 101.

Synonymous words for architect are designer, planner, maker, originator, engineer, builder. And so on.

We can also call you as a designer rather than an architect.

    6. At a TV reporter’s interview, Estrada said that “di dapat siyang pangunahan,” in reaction to the suggestion that the three senators implicated in Napoles scam face the Senate hearing committee. Does he adhere to “La nobleza obliga?”

No person will allow his reputation or name bismerck or drag in to the mud. Your name is your dignity, but if it is tainted. What respect left. The money can earn, but reputation cannot be earn. Only to protect from nemesis or accusers. Look at how Gen. Angelo Reyes truly esteem the word name of Honor. But Manong, Sexy and Pogi. Has no delicadeza or shame. They are use to it already. What a disgraced to become Enrile, Estrada and Revilla, name similar to theives
