‘Seniang’ to make landfall in Surigao del Sur


Tropical depression “Seniang” is expected to make landfall in the vicinity of Tandag, Surigao del Sur on Monday morning, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

“Seniang” has maximum sustained winds of 45 kph near the center. It is expected to bring moderate to heavy rainfall (7-15 mm per hour).
Public storm warning signal number 1 has been raised in Leyte, Bohol, Siquijor, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Dinagat Province, Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Davao Norte, Davao Oriental, Compostella Valley, Camiguin Island, Misamis Oriental, and Bukidnon.

Residents in low-lying and mountainous areas in provinces with public storm warning signal were told to watch out for possible flashfloods and landslides.
