AGENTS of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Sunday arrested a drug suspect who allegedly smuggled high-grade methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) in Malaysia. Suspect Enjum Jainuddin of Jolo, Sulu yielded at least 1.5 kilograms of shabu with estimated street value of P7 million during a raid in her condominium unit in Pasay City. The illicit drugs were found hidden in sandals and packs of junk foods. A weighing scale and Malaysian ringgits were also found in her unit, according to Manny Payre, executive officer of the NBI’s Anti-Organized and Transnational Crime Division. Authorities discovered that the illicit products were imported from China. Jainuddin would take the Mindanao backdoor to Malaysia to sell shabu, Payre added.
