Shell cuts diesel price by 45 centavos, kerosene by 25 centavos

Pilipinas Shell implemented its first price rollback for the new year.

In its text advisory on Monday, the oil company announced it would cut the per-liter price of diesel by 45 centavos and kerosene by 25 centavos.

The rollback takes effect shortly after midnight by Tuesday.

Other oil firms have not announced their own price adjustments as of this posting.

Last January 1, Petron Philippines slashed the price of LPG by P7.65 per kilogram after an across-the board price hike on New Year’s eve.

Petron said it would also cut its LPG price by P5.34 per kilogram in Cebu and Bohol to align prices.

“These provinces have been under a price freeze since November,” it explained in a statement.

Petron will also slash P4.27 per liter for AutoLPG nationwide and a P2.98/li decrease in Bohol and Cebu at the same time.
