The Zamboanga City Water District (ZCWD) is advising the thousands of evacuees to properly use the water they supply in the different evacuation centers amid the standoff in the city. ZCWD information officer Dolores Galvan made the call after they have observed that “water is not being used properly.” The ZCWD has a total of seven water tankers with a total capacity of 96 cubic meters that are servicing 10 evacuation centers including the sports complex, which is the biggest. Galvan said that although they assure that they can provide sufficient water supply for all the evacuees, they must use it properly “so that everybody can use [it]for drinking and others,” She said the water being delivered to the evacuees come from the production wells of Boalan, Gov. Camins Avenue and Gov. Ramos Avenue.
