After his stellar performance in the 2015 FIBA 3×3 World Tour in Manila, 18-year old Joshua Sinclair will lead the Philippines in the 2016 FIBA 3×3 U18 World Championships in Astana, Kazakhstan from June 1 to 5.
Besides Sinclair, the other members of Team Pilipinas are Theo Joshua Flores, John Lloyd Clemente, and Kyle Christian Tan.
The 13th seed Philippines will play in Pool D against Hungary (4th), Brazil (5th), New Zealand (12th), and Spain (20th).
New Zealand will be defending its title.
Sinclair is expected to lead the change since this is the first 3-on-3 campaign of the Philippines without Kobe Paras.
Sinclair started playing basketball at the age of 13 after playing rugby for seven years.
His first big basketball competition was the FIBA World Tour Manila Masters.
The FIBA 3×3 U18 World Championships games will be broadcasted livestream via youtube.com/FIBA3x3.
