LUCENA CITY: Veteran singer Darius Razon brought the jailhouse down when he belted out his own version of “Totoy Bibo,” immediately eliciting the shrieks and giggles of more than 100 female inmates of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP-Region 4) in Barangay Mayao Crossing here. Razon’s performance was part of the community service organized by Zonta Club and Environs-Lucena Chapter headed by Dr. Mitzi Flores-Piad to BJMP inmates. With the help of other organizations such as Rotary Club of Makati and dentists from Mandaluyong and Makati, more than 30 female and male inmates received false teeth, reading glasses and other health services. Jail Warden Inspector Shiela Oliquino said the inmates were thankful for the outreach program. Aside from medical services, Zonta Club sponsored Zumba sessions participated in by 103 female inmates—the youngest is 20 and the oldest is 60.
