BACOLOD CITY: Sipalay City boxers won the 22nd Panaad sa Negros boxing title at Panaad Stadium here over the weekend. The Sipalay team won four gold, three silver, and five bronze medals. The gold medalists were Lorenz John Torela (men’s 28 kgs.), John Francis Padilla (men’s 50 kgs.), Logie Mark Torela (49 kgs.), and Dave Padilla (56 kgs). Escalate City finished second with 4-3-4 gold-silver-bronze tally while Bacolod City landed at third place with 3-3-2. Escalante’s gold medals were delivered by Rodel Gamo Jr. (men’s kgs.), Roogie Sta. Ana (men’s 48 kgs.), Jaypee Oro (52 kgs.), and Rodgie Nardo (60 kgs). Bacolod’s three gold medals were from Brandon Sabillo (32 kgs.), Joshua Belicena (36 kgs.), and Joseph Novero Jr. (44 kgs.), all in men’s division.
