SKILLS COMPETITION IN CORDILLERA BEGINS

BAGUIO CITY: The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority(Tesda) is set to open the Cordillera Regional Skills Competition today at the Baguio City Schools of Arts and Trades (BCSAT). Tesda Cordillera OIC Regional Director Genaro Ronald Ibay said the regional skills competition is a traditional year-ender event of Tesda which generally aims to showcase the talents and competencies of the region’s blue-collar workers and to promote the development of quality technical-vocational (Tech-Voc) skills, as well as to foster camaraderie, sportsmanship and good work attitude among skilled workers. “Through the competition we also aims to provide due recognition to the role of our country’s skilled workforce in national development”, he added.
