Slain soldiers in Ifugao hailed as heroes

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet: The Philippine Army on Wednesday hailed as heroes Privates First Class James En-ale and Mark Anthony Patdu in the fight against communist rebels. En-ale, Patdu and two squads of the “Bayanihan” team of the Philippine Army’s 54th Infantry Battalion were on a mission to help build a road in Sitio Landing, Asipulo town in Ifugao when New People’s Army members attacked them on Tuesday.
