New remittance services options are expected to grow Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company’s Smart Padala by 30 percent next year.
“Total volume that we generate for Smart Padala is close to P100 billion – we expect this for 2015. We expect this to grow by about 30 percent next year.” Lawrence Ferrer, vice president for marketing at Smart eMoney, told reporters on Tuesday.
“This particular service will help us grow our customers,” Ferrer said.
Smart Padala introduced remittance options that are more accessible to consumers. With the new Smart Padala service, consumers can send remittances to any mobile phone number, no matter the network.
Smart Padala has over 15,000 agents or more than the automated teller machines (ATMs), bank branches and pawnshops in the country.
