Hong Kong is giving guests a magical Christmas experience this season, decked out with stunning sights and sounds all in the spirit of the holidays.
Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) is giving you all the details.
Putting to good use its two million square feet of space to offer exciting activities and sights, the city’s one-stop destination for shopping, dining, entertainment, and sightseeing, this season’s theme has been dubbed, “Christmas Together,” still in celebration of Harbour City 50th anniversary.
Special features include the the “Christmas Party of Snowie” through January 2, 2017 at the Ocean Terminal Forecourt of Harbour City, where 32 versions of the adorable snowman, Snowie is set up all over the area. Since November, the area has been a selfie haven with Snowies in all sizes and the 12-meter-tall Christmas tree made from stacks of the snowman for backdrops.
Indoors, visitors will be transported to another magical place where “Santa is Everywhere.” Finnish illustrator Rami Niemi created a series of modern Santa Claus all over Harbour City in some humorous and quirky depictions as he dons a suit, shorts, and even reads emails. Niemi also designed a Christmas deer rocket placed in the Gateway Arcade.
