Solar plane completes first sea leg


AHMEDABAD, India: Solar Impulse 2 landed in India late on Tuesday, completing the initial sea crossing of its epic bid to become the first plane to fly around the world powered solely by the sun. The aircraft touched down in the western state of Gujarat at 11:25 p.m. local time (5:55 p.m. Manila time on Tuesday to finish its trip from the Omani capital Muscat in little less than 16 hours.
