RAIN and thunderstorms are forecast for Monday, when President Benigno Aquino 3rd delivers his State of the Nation Address (SONA).
Metro Manila will be cloudy with isolated showers and thunderstorms in
the afternoon and evening, weather forecaster Elvie Enriquez said.
The extended weather outlook for Friday also indicated that July 22 will be partly cloudy to cloudy with showers and thunderstorms.
On Monday afternoon, Aquino will deliver his SONA before a joint session of Congress at the Batasan Complex in Quezon City.
Protesters and administration supporters have scheduled demonstrations along Commonwealth Avenue, which leads to the Batasan.
Police will be in force to secure Commonwealth Avenue and ensure those attending the SONA will have little to no problem with traffic.
Meanwhile, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said the number coding system will remain in effect on July 22.
MMDA Assistant General Manager for Operations Emerson Carlos said Monday is not a holiday.
Carlos also said the MMDA will deploy at least 1,200 personnel on that day.
