• South African police offers reward for info on football star’s death


    CAPE TOWN: South African police on Monday offered 150,000 rand (about US$ 13,600) for information that could lead to the arrest of football star Senzo Meyiwa’s killers. Meyiwa, captain of national team Bafana Bafana, was gunned down on Sunday night during burglary at a house in Vosloorus south of Johannesburg. According to South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC), three men entered the house and one of them demanded Meyiwa’s phone. An altercation ensued and a shot was fired.
