KORONADAL CITY: Police will file Monday charges of violations of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act against six persons arrested Friday during an anti-illegal drug operation in Sto. Nino, South Cotabato.
Speaking over DXOM-Happy FM Koronadal, Chief Inspector Joel Fuerte, Sto Nino police chief, said charges will be filed Monday against Mozid Alamada, 22, Tunga Saniban, Jonathan Acoy, Neilvin Colomo, Jun Mark Demetillo and Camarudin Kansay.
The six and two other minors were caught in the act of sniffing prohibited drugs inside Alamada’s home in Purok Bagong Barrio, Ambalgan, Sto, Nino, South Cotabato.
Fuerte said the raid netted 116.6 kilograms of methamphetamine hydrochloride or locally known as “shabu” with a current market value of Php1.3 million.
Earlier, police reported about Php400,000 worth of shabu contained in two huge pack and several smaller packs.
The police chief said before the raid which was carried out on the basis of a search warrant, a two-week surveillance and covert operations on the activities of Alamada.
After it was confirmed, Fuerte said the operation was conducted in cooperation with the local officials of Sto. Nino.
The six are still detained at Sto. Nino police lock up cell while the two minors were turned over to social welfare office. PNA
