ILOILO CITY: The city council’s Committee on Transportation has virtually closed the door to Baldoza Transport Terminal for the renewal of its franchise to operate a terminal for commuters plying the Baldoza to the city proper route here. City Councilor Plaridel Nava, chairman of the committee on transportation, said the terminal located at Zone 3, Baranga Baldoza, La Paz, is ill-equipped, full of dust during the summer months, and full of mud during the rainy season. Its terminal building is also unfit for passengers. The franchise expired on February 2015 and the operator did not upgrade the facilities. With the Baldoza terminal closed, commuters will have to use the Ticud Terminal that is some 200 meters away.
