The Gemmalyn Crosby Sports Festival slated on August 29 at the SMX Convention Center will showcase the Filipino martial arts (FMA).
Martial artists and fitness enthusiasts from all over the Philippines, as well as guests from Australia, India, the United States, Saipan, Guam, and Malaysia, will gather and compete in 13 FMA and body-building contests during the two-day event.
“It’s actually a collaboration of fitness and bodybuilding,” said Crosby, an International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB) professional athlete representing the country in global tilts via the Philippine League of Bodybuilding and Fitness.
Crosby gained her IFBB Pro Card by winning in the prestigious Arnold Classic Amateur in the United States. She is also a Labrada-sponsored athlete (Master Trainer) representing eight times Mr. Olympia Lee Haney’s International Association of Fitness Sciences certification course. Crosby is also an instructor of Filipino Combat Systems.
Olympia and Arnold athlete Candyce Graham of IFBB is one of the international guest judges.
An expo of food products and merchandise will be held simultaneously with the competitions.
