Yen Santos is being touted as the next leading lady to watch out for as she makes waves on prime time in the sultry soap Magpahanggang Wakas together with Jericho Rosales and Arci Muñoz.

Since joining the series in the last week of October—portraying the friendly damsel-in-distress Issa Ordoñez—Santos has been lauded by netizens for her exceptional acting and sharp comedic timing. Fans have raved about her much-improved register on the camera since coming out of the Pinoy Big Brother House in 2010.

“I never expected to become part of the show; it all happened so suddenly but when I was told about I was so excited, especially to be working with Jericho,” gushed the pretty lady, who added she immediately felt at ease with the prime time star.

The Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Clash 2010 housemate is no stranger though to being paired with bankable leading men on primetime. Her first brush as a headlining-leading lady happened in 2014 through the local adaptation of the Korean series of the same name Pure Love opposite Joseph Marco, Matt Evans and Arjo Atayde, together, along with Alex Gonzaga.

In late 2015, Santos was also part of the soap All of Me together with JM de Guzman and Albert Martinez.

The best is yet to come, however, as she will soon alight the big screen with no less than Piolo Pascual as her leading man in Regal Entertainment’s Once In A Lifetime. Partly shot in New Zealand the movie is in the final stages of completion, and its play date has yet to be set.

The 23-year-old star unabashedly confessed that she initially had a hard time working on the film, but for good reason. “Hindi po naging madali sakin nung una kasi natutulala po ako palagi kay Papa P [Pascual’s moniker in showbiz] Sobrang gwapo nya po! Sobrang surreal lahat.”
