SsangYong Motor, South Korea’s fourth biggest automotive company, is back in the Philippines. Berja-ya Philippines is bringing the brand back as part of its portfolio expansion in the country. Francis Lee, an executive director of Berjaya Group Of Companies, is the chairman of the new Ssangyong distribu-tor company Ssangyong Berjaya Motor Philippines Inc. (SBMP) together with newly-appointed David Macasadia as managing director.
Lee is the chairman of Berjaya Auto Philippines Inc, the exclusive distributor of Mazda products in the Philippines since 2013, and is also executive director of Bermaz Motor, the exclusive distributor of Mazda in Malaysia since 2008.
Veteran automotive industry executive Macasadia has close to 25 years of experience in vehicle sales and operations. He, along with his hardworking and dedicated team, are ready to take on the chal-lenge of reinvigorating the SsangYong brand in the country.
