STA. ROSA CITY, Laguna: One of the suspects in the killing of a mother and her one-year-old child on March 2 surrendered to authorities on Friday evening.
Laguna Provincial Director Senior Supt. Ronnie Mondejar identified the suspect as Ramoncito Galo, 25, tricycle driver from Barangay Cupang, Muntinlupa City.
Galo was one of the suspects seen on CCTV footage fleeing the area before the bodies of Pearly Sta. Ana and her one-year old son Denzel were found.
He was turned over by Cupang Barangay Chairman Celso Dioko to the police following his surrender saying he was bothered by his conscience.
Galo admitted participating in the crime saying they were hired by a man he called “Boss” to kill the victims for P60,000.
Dioko said Galo identified the “Boss” as Richard, the victim’s husband who was earlier tagged as “person of interest” in the crime by the police.
Galo claimed that Richard suspected his wife was having an extra marital affair.
