Stefanel, an Italian fashion brand and global player in the textile-clothing industry, opens its first mono-brand store at the new upscale SM Aura Premier at The Fort.

In the Philippines, the opening of the first Stefanel store has been realized in collaboration with Nuovo Moda Concepts Inc., a subsidiary of the SM Group, a leader in the retail industry in the country. Stefanel plans to open two more mono-brand stores in strategic areas in the country in the next three years.

The new concept store thoroughly conveys Stefanel’s philosophy—its ability to combine modernity, tradition, elegance and sensuality, design and quality. These are values that are present in every collection, particularly in knitwear, and have been part of the company DNA for 50 years.

Featuring wide shopping windows, the 105-square meter Stefanel concept store is a step forward in the company’s repositioning process that will involve 450 stores throughout 30 countries in the world. It also showcases beautiful and timeless clothes and accessories designed in Italy for confident women who have good taste in fashion. This includes Stefanel’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection where different worlds like sport, safari, tribal, romantic, and feminine merge together to create a contemporary look. The contrast between the uniform details and the femininity of ‘50s shapes are the collection’s leit motiv.

Prints and jacquard have a main role in the collection: animal prints reinterpreted in a tribal way, colored tiger prints, hand drawn stripes and flowers, contemporary and feminine camouflage, maxi leopard patterns on knitwear. Colors take on neutral nuances with primary colors seen in contrast with neutral ones. Darker colors on very light fabrics look fresh and and summery, creating a new and unique final effect.

Fabrics and yarns used are all natural. Linen, silk and cotton answer the market demand for more durable and high quality products. Also interesting is the interpretation of macramé applied on tulle and mixed with flax.

Accessories are made with ever-increasing attention to the smallest details. Bags and shoes reflect the current fashion trends. Besides classic black and brown leather, there are also colored and patterned accessories, which will make each look strong and special.

Stefanel has always been a cosmopolitan brand appreciated all over the world. Its success is due to knitwear, the company DNA, as well as the flexibility of its collections, which women can easily mix to express their personality. It is fashionable while maintaining its strong identity, offering high quality and timeless products.

Managed by Guiseppe Stefanel since 1970, chairman of S.p.A., a company listed on the Milan Stock Exchange since 1987. Stefanel has its beginnings in 1959 when Carlo Stefanel, Guiseppe’s father, began to produce knitwear in his factory named Maglificio Piave. The first shop branded Stefanel opens in Siena in 1980, and in 1982, the first shop outside Italy opens in Paris. Since 1983, Stefanel becomes the company name.

A lavish cocktail party was held to mark the entry of Stefanel into the Philippine market, with no less that the company chairman as guest of honor, as welcomed by His Excellency Massimo Roscigno, Ambassador of Italy to the Philippines, and his wife Madam Agnes, to the country.

The Stefanel mono-brand concept store is located at Level 1 of the SM Aura Premier at The Fort.
