STI Educations Services Group Inc. (STI) has started constructing another academic center in Lucena City, Quezon province.
“STI continues to invest in the expansion of its network in schools following the successful operations of the STI Academic Centers in Global City, Naga, Fairview, Alabang, Novaliches, Malolos and Ortigas-Cainta,” the listed firm told the local bourse on Wednesday.
STI recently broke ground to mark the construction of the P275-million STI Academic Center in Lucena City.
The four-storey facility, according to the company, will stand in a 6,387-square-meter property along Quezon Avenue in Lucena City.
Expected to be fully operational within the year, the STI Academic Center Lucena will be able to accommodate 3,000 students enrolled in Information and Communications Technology, Business and Management, Tourism and Hospitality Management and Engineering.
“Our campus in Lucena is part of our strategy to continue our efforts to widen our reach. We are committing ourselves to remain
competitive in enhancing our facilities and continually improving the quality of education and increase the social awareness of the youth,” said Monico Jacob, STI president and chief executive officer.
Recently, STI completed its P500-million STI Academic Center Caloocan, which is the latest addition to the company’s portfolio.
The nine-storey building sits on a 14,409-square-meter property, and can now accommodate more than 9,000 students.
STI Academic Center Calamba and Cubao, on the other hand, are expected to open in time for the start of classes this June.
STI is a main revenue driver of parent firm STI Holdings, a Tanco-led Group.
