• Stop demolition of P2.1-B Pampanga dike – group

MASANTOL, Pampanga: Former Vice-Mayor Bajun Lacap, chairperson of the Coastal Emergency Response Group, has urged the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to stop the demolition of an anti-flood structure here. The P2.1-billion dike, built under the Pampanga Delta Development Project (PDDP), is being demolished by the DPWH allegedly in compliance with a Supreme Court order to clean up the Manila Bay. “We want the demolition of the 14-kilometer dike along the Pampanga River stopped and probed,” Lacap said in earlier media interviews.
