With the goal of engaging the local fashion community, an e-commerce site recognized five of Metro Manila’s most stylist personalities.

“We’ve been in the business for four years now and I think it is the right time for us to really engage the fashion community,” said Christopher Daguimol, regional PR director of Zalora, to The Manila Times at the sidelines of the award ceremonies held at the posh The Palace at Pool Club in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
Daguimol added that the debut Style Ambassadors awards was Zalora’s way of giving back to the community not only in the Philippines but also in Southeast Asian region where it was also launched in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, as well as neighboring countries Taiwan and Hong Kong.
“We wanted to create something that will recognize individuals for their creativity,” the PR director said with the hopes of inspiring future fashion players to pursue their dreams in the industry.
Crucial to the success of this awards night is its board of judges composed of seasoned fashion experts in the creative field, as well as respected personalities from the fashion industry.
Names included former Preview magazine editor in chief Pauline Suaco Juan, SoFA Design Institute founder and executive director Amina Aranaz-Alunan, Philippine Star Y Style and Supreme creative director David Milan, and MEGAstyle.ph editor in chief and MEGA magazine managing director Sarah Santiago together with ZALORA Philippines executives Gigi Mabanta, head of Buying, Regine King, head of Marketing, and Vince Flores, head of Public Relations.
With this collaboration, Daguimol concluded, “As you’ve seen through the years, we’ve been working with local designers, we’ve been bringing in global brands to build a reputation as a fashion destination.”
