First off, proudly homegrown fashion label Regatta, which is known for its classic, casual and outdoor style, officially marked its 25th year with the launch of its Summer 2014 collection and Limited Edition Silver Anniversary perfumes.
Through a runway show at SM Mall of Asia’s One Esplanade, the brand’s newest styles for swimwear, tropical pieces and essentials were unveiled, still bearing the relaxed and easy style that has been the signature of Regatta all these years.
“Regatta shows off its new summer collection with dashes of bright hues and summer prints that exude a fun and carefree vibe—perfectly depicting what this season is all about,” said Ira Sarmiento, Regatta’s associate grand manager.
Meanwhile, the limited edition bottles for men and women dubbed “25th EDTs” embody a fresh ocean scent with hints of lime and a mix of floral and citrus notes that together evoke the feeling of a perfect summer. EV

As Regatta’s new looks took to the runway in Pasay City, well-loved American clothing brand Old Navy opened its very first store in the Philippines with a three-storey structure on Bonifacio High Street in Taguig City.
Different from most American brands already in the Philippines, Old Navy offers a unique shopping experience for entire fashion-savvy families. Parents and children alike will surely find something to match their style from the label’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection.
“We’re a family brand and in the Philippines, we know that families go out and shop together, so it’s a perfect fit,” said Robert Frank, executive vice president of Old Navy International.
The first floor carries women’s wear and accessories; children’s on the second, and finally men’s wear on the third. Generally for this season, bright bursts of color and light and breezy materials go across age and gender.
