Sulpicio lines captain still reporting for work


THE ship captain of the Sulpicio Lines vessel involved in a sea tragedy that killed more than 80 people in Cebu in August is still allowed to report for work by the shipping company despite of the incident. This was learned Monday during the senate inquiry on the sea mishap involving MV St. Thomas of Aquinas and the cargo vessel MV Sulpicio Express 7 outside the central port of Cebu on August 16, called by Sen. Antonio Trillanes 4th. During the hearing Trillanes was informed that Capt. Rolito Gilo, of the cargo ship MV Sulpicio Express 7, which collided with the passenger ship MV St. Thomas Aquinas, has not been suspended by the company.
