Batanes, Calayan and Babuyan Group of islands will experience occasional rains on Tuesday due to southwest monsoon, according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
In its advisory, PAGASA said effects of southwest monsoon or “hanging habagat,” the prevailing wind system during the rainy season, is now affecting extreme Northern Luzon.
PAGASA also said the rest of the country, including Metro Manila, will continues to have sunny to partly cloudy skies with possible isolated rains due to localized thunderstorms.
It added moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest will prevail over Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the southwest with slight to moderate seas. PNA
