Sun Life Philippines and its brand ambassador, actor and philanthropist Piolo Pascual announced this week the launch of “Sunpiology Color Run,” a marathon-for-a-cause, which will take place on November 23 at Bonifacio Global City.
At a news conference at Max’s Restaurant in Quezon City, Pascual invited avid runners to participate in the worthy cause, whose proceeds will raise funds for the five-year partnership of Sun Life and Hebreo Foundation, which has helped raise millions of pesos to send poor but deserving scholars to school.
“Since I had long been helping send children to school I decided to establish Hebreo Foundation along with my siblings to make it more official,” said the actor. “What makes this foundation different is that it doesn’t only give scholarships for a few years, but sees through a child’s education from elementary to college so we can truly help them secure a better and brighter future.”
According to Pascual, the marathon will definitely be fun for running enthusiasts as many celebrities from the Star Magic talent management group to which he belongs have already signed up for the event.
“This year, we are making the holiday season more vivid and charitable with the Sunpiology Color Run. We just want everyone to enjoy running with their friends and family. Then let us help you relax
and cool down with an after-show rave party,” he enthused.
Sun Life chief marketing officer Mylene Lopa, on the side of the insurance company added, “The Sunpiology has been a much anticipated annual charity event. And now that we have the stars by our side with ‘Star Magic Gives Back,’ our combined efforts are sure to shine brighter.”
Interested participants may register for the event via www.sunpiology.com for a run-and-party ticket ranging from P250 to P800. Distances include 1km for children, and 3km, 5km, and 10km for adults.
Registration is now open for all categories until November 15. For more information, visit www.sunpiology.com.
