NEVER before has the Volkswagen Jetta (over 9.6 million units sold worldwide) flaunted as much sports appeal, fuel efficiency or as large a size. With a new concept, the car has been restyled and is significantly longer (4.64 meters versus the previous model’s 4.55 meters), making it appealing as a high-end, spacious and sporty sedan that offers active driving performance.
“The Jetta successfully combines elegance and sportiness in a compact sedan at an affordable cost, without having to compromise on quality, innovation and fuel efficiency,” said JP Orbeta, president of Automobile Central Enterprise Inc., the official distributor of Volkswagen cars in the Philippines.
The Jetta, an ideal choice for people who want comfort, safety and quality, shines with a turbocharged, 108hp, 280Nm TDI engine that is paired with a five-speed manual transmission. The car’s safety equipment includes six airbags (or eight as an option), front head restraints, automatic seatbelt detection system and ABS with brake assist. Exterior features are 16-inch steel wheels, daytime running lights and electrically adjustable and heated exterior mirrors with side turn lights.
With its new package, styling and technology concepts, the car has the potential to achieve success in the Philippines similar to that which it enjoys in the US and Europe.
The Jetta sells for P1.098 million at Volkswagen BGC, located at 28th Street City Center, Bonifacio Global City. Showroom hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Monday to Thursday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
