Filipino-Swedish IT technician Tom Esconde and Filipino-Canadian fashion model Olivia Medina were declared “Superbods of the Decade” at the Century Tuna Superbods Nation 2016 search.
Held on April 10 at the exclusive Palace Pool Club in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, the competition celebrated Superbods’ 10 years and lived up to its promise of being bigger, better, and sexier.
“I’m still in shock. We worked hard for this. It’s just so amazing,” expressed Esconde as Medina shared, “This is such a great blessing for me. The experience was so amazing, I really pushed myself and never gave up. And I also made a lot of amazing friendships!”
Besting 24 finalists, the two fired up the runway by showcasing their Superbods donning swimwear and evening resort wear, much to the excitement and the adulation of the crowd. They were also made good impressions at the Q and A segment that drew applause from audiences as well.
Of course, the Century Tuna Superbods Nation finals night was made more memorable with the Ultimate Superbods Anne Curtis and Derek Ramsay as well as the 2014 winners Mauro Lumba and Sarah Polverini. The presence of current and past celebrity endorsers of Century Tuna including KC Concepcion, Xian Lim, Solenn Heusaff, Jessy Mendiola, Paolo Avelino, Gerald Anderson, Elmo Magalona, Isabelle Daza, Aljur Abrenica and Phil Younghusband also added glitz and glamour to the event.
