Surrender of Morong 43 rebel

We are natives of Occidental Mindoro and a relative of Emilia Marquez, a member of the Morong 43 arrested by authorities in 2010. We are happy that she has already surrendered and that the government has given her the chance to live normally as a peaceful citizen.

Thank God that Emilia did not suffer the fate of fellow member Ramon de la Cruz, who died in an encounter in Remedios, Bulacan, last month. We are also appealing to Emilia’s sister, another niece, to surrender. She is in danger as of now. She should follow Emilia’s decision to live a new life.
