MALACAÑANG on Sunday warned all government officials accused by President Rodrigo Duterte of involvement in the illegal drug trade to turn themselves in or face charges.

In a speech in Davao City in the early hours of Sunday, Duterte read a list containing the names of judges, police, mayors and congressmen who he said had benefited from illegal drugs, claiming the list was “validated and re-validated by the police and the military.”

“I ordered the validation. I am the one reading it and I am the sole person responsible for this one,” the President said.

Duterte ordered the local government officials he named to report directly to him. Police officials named were ordered relieved and should report to Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald de la Rosa within 24 hours.

“All policemen, PNP personnel assigned as security guards, security personnel of mayors I have mentioned, you are hereby relieved of your duty and immediately report to your mother unit,” Duterte said.

For the judges allegedly involved in illegal drugs, the President ordered them to report to the Supreme Court within 24 hours as well.

Duterte mentioned about a hundred names of politicians, police and judges in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao as drug protectors.

He said he would next name prosecutors also involved in illegal drugs.narco-politics20160808

Palace Communications Secretary Martin Andanar said charges would be filed against the personalities.

“The basis of the President’s announcement is the investigation of the Philippine National Police, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, and other government agencies. When it comes to filing cases, of course, charges will be filed after the investigation,” Andanar said in a radio interview.

“That’s why the President is encouraging all of the persons of interest…these alleged drug lords and coddlers to come out in the open to surrender and submit themselves to thorough investigation if they want to clear their names,” Andanar added.

    1. Victor Sleinad on

I have travelled frequently to the Philippines since 1966 and love its culture and the Philippine people. Now I am retired, my Filipino wife and I spend between 3 to 7 months every year on our property in the Philippines. You do not need to be smart to understand that corruption and the drug problem in the Philippines have a huge impact on the quality of life and the wellbeing of the good Filipinos. I have seen whole Barangays become the victim of greedy people in the drug business and their corrupt protectors to the stage that the younger generation had no chance at all to grow up and have at least some future or normal life. During discussions with my wife’s family and friends we frequently spoke about the problems and what could be done about it. Because of the corrupt Philippine judiciary system, my personal opinion always was that the only way the Philippines could drag itself out of its current situation was with the help of a very strong leader (president) who fully understood the problem. Such a President would not be able to fully comply with the constitution, such as separation of powers, because the current Philippine judiciary system is largely responsible for many of the problems in the Philippines. It was my opinion that improvements could only be achieved under martial law or another dictatorship. However, the new Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte may be the best alternative the country has to get out of the ever increasing corruption and drug problem. President Rodrigo Duterte is a very brave man, because he now has all the drug lords, corrupt law enforcement officials, corrupt politicians etc. wishing his death as soon as possible.
I like to say this to the Philippine people: Please continue to support your President Rodrigo Duterte even in case he has to declare Martial Law. He is your only chance on a better future.

    2. I am from malaysia. I am glad of what is done by your Mr President. It seems harsh but that the best medicine ever. Hopefully the same course will be carried out in my country too.

    5. GOD BLESS PRESIDENT DUTERTE & THE PHILIPPINES!

I strongly believe the LIST OF DRUG PUSHERS/USERS/LORDS announced by the President is 100% accurate and correct.

I noticed when the President read the name of Mayor OMAR SOLITARIO ALI, he paused for awhile and said I am sorry even you are my friend I have to declare to the public.

Remember, the ex-Mayor and former husband of Alma Moreno, is included in the list, named FAHAD (ARAFAT) SALIC.If you seen the marriage ceremony in one of the 5-star hotel in Cebu, of Alma and ex-Mayor FAHAD, the brother of MAYOR OMAR SOLITARIO ALI, talaga bongga, STAR-STUDDED! Where will they get the money, millions of expenses? DRUG MONEYS!

The CRIMES (KIDNAPPING, ROBBERY, MURDER, ETC…) in their city, MARAWI CITY are attributed to this CLAN. But they are clever; they are not using the same family name! People are afraid of them, hence they are NO COMPLAINT filed against them.

All names mentioned by the President: DENY TO DEATH!

They should answer to their crimes. How many lives, they destroyed!

They should be HANGED TO DEATH IN PUBLIC!

GOD SAVE AND PROTECT THE PRESIDENT AND THE PHILIPPINES!

    6. The Great Defiant on

I believe the list is not complete yet…
of course, those who allows drug to proliferate will come out later on…
ika nga…”save the best for last”…

    7. Duterte: “I’m telling you now, STOP IT.!!”

The illegal Drug Trade will not prosper if there are NO MORE PROTECTORS.

So many ways to kill a cat.. .

    8. Again, So how do you expect to follow the so called ” DUE PROCESS” if the mayors who should take care of their cities, police who implements the law and the judges who decides on the cases are part of the drug problem? If DU30 follows the procedure non of them will be punished. They should be killed by snipers or vigilantes instead.

    9. Wow! nakakalula yung dami ng mga involved sa drugs. The list cannot be considered raw or political since it was even revalidated and knowing that it is an intel report of the president, the highest confidential report there is. The Phillipines has become a narco state. I wonder what Pnoy, Roxas and De Lima did to these reports during their time? Which definitely is already available and submitted to them. Thank God, we have a no-nonsense president that is determined to get rid of these mess. First time in history that a president reveals intel report to the nation and people are now awake and aware of the gravity of drugs in our country.

    10. Juan T. Delacruz on

These names did not appear on the PDU30’s lists without reasons and almost all of them will deny that they are involved in drug trade. Intel agents / officers have spent so many days or months and sometimes years to gather evidences on the subjects named above. These suspected morons failed to understand that the government already have enough evidence for them to be crucified, and of course, they wanted to be proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt. Evidences could be in any forms, such as tapped phone conversations, recorded cell phone conversations, videos, or just connecting dot and putting two and two together. By the way, cell phone conversations and text messages from cell phones can be intercepted easily without any problem because these are floating in the air as RF Signals. If I know your cell phone number, I can program it to my receiver, connected to a recorder, and can record any of your call, either in form of data or voice. ( I no longer have this device because it is against the law. However, there are more sophisticated devices that are being used, and beyond the imaginations of those people that are not technically inclined).

Here is the bottom line: The Government already have hard evidences against these people, otherwise, they did not publicized these morons by guessing or just making up the names, like Janet Lim Napoles did. They also termed it as the “smoking guns”, and ultimately, bring embarrassment to themselves, their families, and friends, especially those Judges, Mayors, and high ranking officers of the government.

I am also excited to see the list of Governors, Congressmen/women, Senators (Leila De Lima, Escudero), and past cabinet members. What about MEDIA personalities? They should be included as well because people in media, as a whole, are not 100% clean, and there are some bad apples in them, as well.

Remember this. By day, Satan himself wears the robes of a priest and speaks words of comfort to the weak and helpless, but when darkness falls he encourages and relishes every kind of wickedness including killing the very people he was speaking soft words of comfort to. I am sure that when the Lord our God accused him of heavenly treason, the first thing he said was “I AM SHOCKED AND SADDENED that you could make that kind of accusation against someone as righteous as me”.

    12. Pedro Penduko on

They will surrender but will deny the allegations. What will the PNP do? I guess release them.

WE are very thankful that we have a nationalistic president, which he cares no one when he/she commits a crime against the state, they must be investigated and found if guilty, must be put behind bars or die to dimenish the corrupt in our country. Mabuhay ka Mr. President. May GOD gives YOU more strength & power to save this country.
      THANK YOU SIR.
