AFTER seven years in hiding, the suspected gunman in the slaying of a Pangasinan town mayor was finally captured by authorities Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group chief Director Benjamin Magalong on Wed-nesday announced the capture of Salvador Boquiren, who was accused of killing San Carlos City Mayor Julian Resuello and security aide Jojo Martinez during a town fiesta at city plaza in April 2007.

Magalong said joint elements of the Southern Tagalog Criminal Investigation Unit and National Capital Regional Office went to the house of Boquiren in Barangay Lubo-Lubo on Tuesday night to serve a warrant of arrest issued by the Parañaque Regional Trial Court for the rape of an 18-year-old in Las Piñas City in 2001.
