Suspected drug personality found dead in Negros Oriental


A SUSPECTED drug personality was found dead with a gunshot wound on the back of his head on early dawn Tuesday along the national highway in a remote village in Sta. Catalina town in Negros Oriental. Senior Supt. Harris Fama, Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office (NORPPO) director, said in a report sent to Camp Crame that the still unidentified victim was discovered after a police team led by SPO4 Charlie Turtoga responded to a reported shooting incident at the said place. Recovered from the crime scene were a black colored mobile phone, a black coin purse with P372 and one heat-sealed transparent plastic containing suspected ‘shabu’ granules and one empty shell of a caliber .45. Fama said that elements of the Catalina Municipal Police Station are still conducting further investigation to identify the victim and the suspect and the motive for the shooting.
