Pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim-Napoles was rushed to the Southern Luzon Hospital in Sta. Rosa, Laguna before dawn Thursday after experiencing nausea and vomiting.
Philippine National Police (PNP) public information office chief Senior Supt. Reuben Theodore Sindac said Napoles was brought to the health facility around 1:20 a.m. for a checkup, then was brought back to her detention facility at 3:30 a.m.
“She was experiencing nausea and vomiting before dawn Thursday. We were given clearance to bring her to the (Southern Luzon Hospital),” Sindac said in a radio interview.
He said the initial finding was that Napoles had “stones in the urether.”
By 3:30 a.m., he said Napoles was brought back to her detention cell at Fort. Sto. Domingo.
Napoles was detained by virtue of a Makati court order for her arrest over charges of serious illegal detention.
On Nov. 7, she is to face the Senate investigation into the pork barrel scam, where she is accused of setting up fake non-government organizations to siphon funds from lawmakers’ Priority Development Assistance Fund.
She and several lawmakers had been charged with plunder. PNA
