PEANUT butter is one sweet staple in almost every household. While some enjoy it with a thick slice of white bread, others prefer it with their smoothie, or simply licking it off a spoon. But a unique peanut butter creation comes in cups of chocolate, known to many as Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

A trip down memory lane on August 2 at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall revealed the chocolate brand’s rich history through the “Rediscover Reese’s Throwback Fair” as various fair game booths, fun activities and a mini-concert filled the orange and brown colored Music Hall.

Filipino mall goers were reminded of the perfectly combined chocolate and peanut butter dessert as different trivia about the brand was featured through the six fascinating Reese’s themed booths found during the fair.

Self-confessed Reese’s lovers like celebrity stylist and showbiz royalty Alyanna Martinez, Air Asia Volleyball Team athlete Melissa Gohing, local pro-surfer Luke Landrigan, blogger David Guison and top beauty blogger and model Kelly Misa and Philippine Azkals star athlete Phil Younghusband attended the fair to indulge their love of the chocolate brand and to interact with fellow Reese’s fans.

The games were also a fun challenge to the attendees, as they completed word tasks by jumping as high as they can to get the logo suspended meters up high. The Re-word Mash, an all-time favorite Word Mash game, became mind-boggling as participants had to mix and match words to discover a secret message.

A fair won’t be complete without a ball-throwing booth, which was called the Knock Out a Reese’s Cup challenge, which became one of the instant favorites. People who went to the Shoot that Cup booth got a chance to immerse themselves in the tantalizing sweet and salty flavor of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup.

Where there’s a fair, there’s always a Pop the Balloon booth. Kids and parents enjoyed popping balloons at the Pop A Nut Bar while learning the key ingredients of the peanut butter cups. One of the most popular booths was the Trick Art where people snapped photos of themselves with the oversized Peanut Butter Cup and Nut Bar. After the attendees completed the Reese’s trail each of them got free Reese’s brand gift packs and special merchandise.

Fans also had the opportunity to try Reese’s infused offerings from Mrs. Fields Cookies and other vendors. Through the Happy Hour and fun activity trail, lucky attendees took home packs of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Nut Bars.
