NEW YORK CITY: Syria plunged back into bloodshed on Tuesday (Wednesday in Manila) as the United Nations suspended aid convoys and the United States and Russia wrangled over the blame for air strikes that shattered a short-lived truce.

Four medics were killed and a nurse critically wounded when an air strike hit a clinic in a village near Syria’s second city Aleppo late on Tuesday, the aid group that supports it said.
